This is so ridiculously disappointing, it's insane. I hated Dark Souls 2 because it was a relatively unfair game compared to the rest of the Souls games, and now I have found out that the DLC is no different. You honestly couldn't make the DLC a little more accessible? Like, maybe not start out with what is arguably the hardest boss in the game? Everything about the DLC feels like it was plucked straight out of Dark Souls 2, with crappy mob placement, weird gimmicky bosses, bad game performance. That dude is like fighting Bambi compared to this chick.

After that she pulls another combo, depletes my stamina, and kills me. One moment Friede does get staggered by my hits, and the next she stands there like she has 1000 poise and pulls some animated wombo-combo on me that takes away 75% of my hp. No matter how much frost restistance or whatever else I try, I get dominated every time in the third phase because I get caught with AOE and frostbite that was in another ZIP code from me. It honestly feels like I am more so fighting with the game's engine than with the actual boss - rendering any mechanics useless. Everything about it indicates that it was meant for Bloodborne.

This boss does not fit within Dark Souls. my attacks do not land even though I am in her face, and her AOE hits me even when I am nowhere near it).
Dark souls 3 cheat engine after dlc registration#
I can get the first and second phase consistently, but the third phase always manages to kill me due to wonky hit registration (i.e. Friede has a whopping three phases!? That has got to be a joke.Īt least make every single phase really challenging, and then allow the player to start with the last phase that they died on. Typically, I rolled my eyes when it came to bosses with second phases, as I largely attribute it to lazy design. I physically and mentally cannot stand attempting Friede one more time.
